In USA, just in the years 1999-2000, Center for Disease Control (CDC) reported 285,000 deaths to gun violence. This was not inclusive of lives lost to other violent acts to include strangulation, knives, suicide or negligent vehicular homicides. This is not inclusive of the nor the 2000 documented cases of lives lost by the hands of law enforcement.
